If someone were to narrate your life, who would you want the narrator to be and why?
I like to think I am the best friend Jennifer Garner doesn’t know she has so I pick her. I love how real she is, how honest, how dedicated to her family. And a part of me thinks she really is Sydney Bristow, her character from Alias, so I get the little bit of kick-ass heroine narrating my book, too.
What one piece of advice would you give an aspiring writer?
Keep learning and keep writing. And most importantly, other authors aren’t your competitors, they are your friends. Their success means yours is possible too.
Can you give us a few lines from your work in progress?
Remy was right. Sleeping in his bed, wrapped in his arms, inhaling his warm, musky scent … Raven had slept better than she had in years. Probably since the night Emily had been attacked and Raven had decided it was time to live alone.

What’s the most awkward thing that happens to you on a regular basis?
I’m a huge interrupter. I love to talk to people about writing and I tend to interrupt and I don’t mean to. I’m always saying … “sorry, you talk first.” It’s mortifying.
How did you come up with the title for this book?
All the books in this series are Just One XXX. This one was easy because it takes place in the summer, in the Hamptons. Bingo. Just One Summer.
