The Marriage Arrangement
(A Marriage to a Billionaire Novella)
by Jennifer Probst
From New York Times and USA Today bestselling author Jennifer Probst comes a new story in her Marriage to a Billionaire series. The Book of Spells returns in this sparkling addition to the series!
She had run from her demons…
Caterina Victoria Windsor fled her family winery after a humiliating broken engagement, and spent the past year in Italy rebuilding her world. But when Ripley Savage shows up with a plan to bring her back home, and an outrageous demand for her to marry him, she has no choice but to return to face her past. But when simple attraction begins to run deeper, Cat has to decide if she’s strong enough to trust again…and strong enough to stay…
He vowed to bring her back home to be his wife…
Rip Savage saved Windsor Winery, but the only way to make it truly his is to marry into the family. He’s not about to walk away from the only thing he’s ever wanted, even if he has to tame the spoiled brat who left her legacy and her father behind without a care. When he convinces her to agree to a marriage arrangement and return home, he never counted on the fierce sexual attraction between them to grow into something more. But when deeper emotions emerge, Rip has to fight for something he wants even more than Winsor Winery: his future wife.

Oh, how I loved Caterina and Rip! What a great couple *dreamy sigh*. How did you choose them for this novella?
Ah, I’ve actually had this story bubbling up for YEARS! I wrote a draft of this idea a long time ago, but other projects became demanding and I’ve been on back to back deadlines for a while so Cat and Rip had to patiently wait for their turn! I was so excited when I decided to bring back my popular Marriage to a Billionaire series and realized it was the perfect place to tell their story!
I always love to see an author’s visual inspiration so, who would you dream cast to play them in a movie?
Rip is quite the broken alpha – savage on the outside, but tender on the inside. He’d just been waiting for the love he’d never been shown. So, I’d say the dark, broody Jason Momoa is perfect! And for Caterina, I think it would be fun to see Britt Robertson – she’s got such talent and could bring a lot to the role!
If you could choose a song to have bene playing in the background when they have their first tender moment what would it be?
I actually have a playlist for The Marriage Arrangement – and my theme song is Taylor Swift’s Delicate. It’s such a beautiful song for something just beginning and perfect for a first kiss.
You always write such dynamic, multi-faceted characters. Are they ever based off of people you know in real life?
Thank you – what a wonderful compliment! My inspiration comes from so many various sources I can’t name just one. I’ve practiced for years by paying attention to people and my surroundings and spinning truth with fiction. That makes the best stories for me—being open to life. I’ll never run out of inspiration for my characters!
What was the last movie you watched that made you laugh?
Well, I have two boys and they’ve been begging me to watch Diary of a Wimpy Kid – the Long Haul. So we did, and I have to admit I was just cracking up. It’s about a road trip with a dysfunctional family full of chaos – and I thought the movie was perfect to watch together! It also made me realize I may need to skip going across country in a trailer with my own family. For everyone’s sake!
Can you give us a hunt as to what you’re working on now?
I’m thrilled to say I’ve finished up the second book in my brand new STAY series called A Brand New Ending. That comes out in October – and in June The Start of Something Good releases, which is the first in the new series.
After that, I have a wonderful surprise dropping in August to satisfy all my summer readers so tons to look forward to! Make sure you keep up to date with my website and newsletter.
