For our new trope collection releases, we thought we’d do a little something different with our author Q&A section and give you a glimpse into the writers personal trope faves! (And occasionally a peek at their writing spaces and pets!). We hope you enjoy!

What is your favorite thing about (the trope you’ve been included in)?
A list of favorite things about Billionaire romance would fill pages. Billionaires are like dragons – rare, powerful, apex predators you’ve heard of but have never seen in person. And for the same reason I love to imagine taming untamable creatures- what a rush – I love a romance where someone who is normally master of the universe meets a woman or man who won’t bend to their will. It’s a nice reminder that money really can’t buy everything.
What trope would I love to write:
I would love to write a marriage of convenience romance!
Lexi Blake (CHARMED)
What is your favorite thing about (the trope you’ve been included in)?
Billionaire romance is as close to fantasy as contemporary romance comes. Almost all authors live in the real world where we worry about money. Billionaire romance takes that particular worry off the table and you get to indulge in the idea of a relationship without the stress of worry, of being taken care of in a way very few people are.
What trope have you not written yet but want to?
While it’s not technically a trope, I would love to write some sci-fi romance.
Melissa Foster (DARING HER LOVE)
What is your favorite thing about (the trope you’ve been included in)?
I love love, and nothing is more exciting than when it takes my characters by surprise and knocks them off their feet. For that reason, just a fling is one of my favorite tropes to write. It allows the chemistry between the characters to burn-up the pages, but they have to dig further to find those long-lasting connections that make us root for them. That journey is as exciting to write as it is to experience. But DARING HER LOVE has another trope that I adore and yet, I can’t seem to find a name for it. I love writing about two characters whose pasts have intersected, yet they have no idea it has happened until that aha moment hits and so many things start to make sense. I’m going to coin the name the Melissa-Foster-Love-in-Bloom trope, because I write it often and it makes me happy! And just like that, my favorite trope is born:)
What trope have you not written yet but want to?
This is a tough one. I’ve written more than 120 books and with so many different tropes, it’s hard to find one I haven’t written but still want to write. I do have one story I’ve been holding onto for my Harborside Nights series, and I do really want to write it. That story is going to be a M/F/M romance. I just need time to fit it into my writing schedule!
